JOB DESCRIPTION:

First Baptist Carthage is seeking a passionate and dynamic Worship Leader to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in leading worship, overseeing worship services, and guiding all worship opportunities and venues. The Worship Leader will also oversee the production and creative aspects of the worship service to ensure that each service is engaging and impactful. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside our new Lead Pastor, who is leading change and building a team to help lead the church and reach the community.

We’re looking for a young, enthusiastic Worship Leader who is eager to contribute to a growing church, shape the future of worship, and help lead the church in this exciting season of change and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Worship: Oversee and lead weekly worship services, ensuring vibrant and engaging worship that enhances the church’s mission and spiritual growth.
• Worship Team Management: Recruit, train, and shepherd a team of musicians and vocalists to lead worship effectively in various worship settings.
• Service Planning & Creative Direction: Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and ministry staff to plan and execute worship services, overseeing the creative aspects of each service to ensure they align with the church’s vision and mission.
• Production Oversight: Oversee the production elements of worship, including sound, lighting, and media, ensuring a high-quality worship experience for all services and events.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Lead Pastor to build a healthy, cohesive worship team and support the broader vision of the church.
• Community Engagement: Be an active participant in building a worship culture that helps the church engage with the local community and grow spiritually.
• Leadership Development: Mentor and equip emerging worship leaders and volunteers, fostering an environment of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership in worship ministry, with experience leading congregational worship in various settings.
• Proficiency in a variety of worship styles and genres.
• Experience overseeing the creative direction and production of worship services.
• Knowledge of modern worship technology (sound systems, lighting, media, etc.).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with church leadership and volunteers.
• A heart for ministry and a passion for reaching the local community through worship.
• Previous experience in worship ministry or a similar role preferred, but not required.
