JOB DESCRIPTION:

Boyd Baptist Church is searching for the man God would have serve as our full-time Associate Pastor of Worship, due to the impending retirement of the incumbent. Boyd is a loving, missional, and family-oriented church located just northeast of the DFW Metroplex in Bonham, Texas. We are a multi-generational body of believers focused on changing the world for the cause of Christ.

Under the direction of our Senior Pastor, the Associate Pastor of Worship is responsible for planning and conducting a comprehensive, Spirit-led, blended worship program, which utilizes a vocal choir and full Praise Team. A seasonal chime choir has recently been added to Boyd’s worship program, and Boyd’s vocal choir contributes to our worship with occasional special music along with Christmas and Easter presentations.

This Pastor is also responsible for other duties to support Boyd’s ongoing ministries and traditional congregational pastoral care programs.

Boyd has a Sunday morning worship attendance of approximately 200 members and guests, and our Disciplelife participation is approximately 175 each week. Boyd’s annual budget is approximately $530,000, and we are blessed to be a debt-free church.

A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but not required. A degree in a related field of music or worship would be a benefit. Seminary education would be a plus, but not a requirement. Experience in worship ministry is required.

A comprehensive compensation package will be provided. As an additional blessing, the church provides the optional use of a beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 bath, brick home for the Associate Pastor and his family on either a short-term or long-term basis.
