Independent Christian Church

We at Antioch Christian are looking for a Kingdom-minded individual to join our staff as our next Worship Pastor.

We love our church and the community that God has placed us in. We are physically located in the southern part of Oconee County (one of the fastest growing counties in the state) and within a close proximity to such places as Athens and the University of Georgia, but we are also in the beauty of a rural laid-back setting. Oconee County is continually ranked, not only one of the top places to live and raise a family in GA, but also in the US. We want to be able to strategically use this to further the Kingdom as much as God chooses to use us.

At our church you will find a truly eclectic blend of people from business and university professionals to life-long farmers.

We are looking for an individual who will bring new life and passion for worship. Much of our current style is traditional and that is reflective of the rich history of our past, but as we look to reach the next generation, we want to be relevant to the mission that God has called us to and have begun to incorporate more and more contemporary songs into our Sunday morning services. We need an individual who can strategically incorporate these two styles into the two Sunday services we currently have to reach our community. We are praying for an individual who will be able to help lead us in the direction that we believe God is calling us and who is eager to join a fellowship of those who love Jesus and who are truly excited about what God is currently doing and will do through our church.

Key Responsibilities

The Worship Pastor will be a full-time position and is responsible to the Church Board and Senior Pastor for developing, planning, conducting, scheduling and evaluating the worship ministry of the church. 4. Promote a culture of modern and relevant worship in one service as well as keeping a traditional style of worship in an additional service. It is our desire to provide traditional worship as well as contemporary worship to our congregation.
