Southern Baptist

The Preschool Ministry and Weekday Education Ministry of First Baptist Church Peachtree City are designed to partner with parents to lay a Christ-centered foundation through intentional ministry and education to develop a child’s sense of being and purpose in a safe, clean, and nurturing environment that focuses on an authentic and meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Preschool Ministry is a weekly ministry to children and parents focusing on serving families from the cradle through age four. The objective of the ministry is to provide a Biblically-sound atmosphere suitable to meet the needs of each child and parent in an exceptional setting. Trained and motivated volunteer leaders work alongside the Preschool Ministry Leadership to create and foster a ministry that influences children spiritually, physically, emotionally, and intellectually. The ministry interacts with the church and community primarily on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

The Weekday Education Ministry (WEM) serves children six months to five years with quality care and developmentally sound education in a Christ-centered environment. WEM accomplishes this through everyday life experiences, classroom curriculum (Abeka and Wee Learn), music, art, play and Bible stories teaching children that God treasures them and has a wonderful plan for their lives. WEM is staffed with experienced, qualified leaders who strive to model an authentic walk with Christ with an aim of providing a developmentally appropriate educational environment. WEM is a weekday ministry Mondays through Fridays that seeks to connect families from the community to the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, while connecting them to the ministries of First Baptist Church.

BACKGROUND CHECKS: You Owe It To Your Church

A ministry that serves children and youth has the obligation to exercise “due diligence” with regards to protecting its members, especially the children. By performing background checks on your perspective ministers your church is…

  • Putting up a safeguard at the “doorway” of the organization that will, in most cases, scare off sexual predators.
  • Offering peace of mind to discerning parents when choosing a church, by knowing your ministry is being pro-active in trying to protect the children.

Protect My Ministry -

Protect My Ministry

Thousands of ministries trust Protect My Ministry, a ministry background check company. One of the only background check companies that will do a free “re-verification” of records from the national criminal database for a volunteer, and to also do a “true” 50 state search on sexual offenders.

Protect My Ministry is a Christian-owned and operated business, being 51% business and 49% ministry. This business was started as the co-owners noticed that churches were not fully aware of the best sources for background checks or truly what they were getting.
