JOB DESCRIPTION:
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Greer, SC is currently seeking a Part-Time Music/Worship Leader.
The Music/Worship Leader must demonstrate, as a result of his personal relationship with Jesus Christ, an eagerness to use music as a testimony of his Christian faith. He/she should have a positive attitude, be energetic and creative. Interests in music should cover a range of styles in reaching out to all ages.
Responsible for planning and directing music for:
a) Sunday morning and Sunday evening services when scheduled. This includes congregational hymns, call to worship, choral music, solos or other special music. Strong emphasis is to be placed on creating a worshipful atmosphere during each worship service.
b) Wednesday evening prayer service when scheduled.
c) Specific events (i.e. Easter sunrise service, choir cantatas, revivals and other occasions as deemed appropriate) throughout the year.
d) Prepare for the choir, ensemble, soloists, instrumentalists, pianist and organist.
