JOB DESCRIPTION:

MISSION

The mission of the Youth Pastor is to consider the needs of the body as we plan for ministry, develop programs and help each person in the work of the ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit, undergirded with prayer and guided by the word of God.


PURPOSE

Manage all aspects of the Youth Pastor’s position, including direct collaboration with the Senior Pastor for organizing, managing, and performing an extensive array of duties and program support ministries.


AS A TEAM PLAYER

The responsibility of the Youth Pastor is to work together with the Senior Pastor as well as the rest of the staff. Accept the method and speed at which the Lord develops our brothers and sisters and exercise patience with those around us. Be an encourager. Walk-in Love.


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities


Youth Ministries:

  • Follow-up on youth visitors and absentees
  • Develop youth meetings/activities/ Bible studies
  • Develop youth leadership
  • Develop a youth worship team
  • Oversee Youth at all scheduled church activities
  • Connect to AWANA at Junior/Senior High School level
  • Planning monthly youth activities
  • Campus Ministry
  • Halloween Outreach
  • North Idaho Fair Outreach – with Team
  • Youth Missions Trips
  • Manage Youth Activities Budget
  • Manage Youth Calendar


Associate Pastoral Ministries

  • Take pastoral calls and handle as needed
  • Pastoral counseling as assigned – no more than two a week
  • Learn church protocol and flow


Qualifications

  • A significant amount of pastor youth leadership experience is required. Possession of a 2-year business degree is desired, or related experience in director or executive management support can be substituted.
  • Possess strong working knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office; Google Calendar & Fellowship One.


Work Schedule

Sunday: 7:30 – 12:30 (5)

Monday: 9:00 - 5:00 (8)

Tuesday: 9:00 – 5:00 (8)

Wednesday: 9:00 – 9:00 (12)

Thursday: 9:00 – 5:00 (8)

Friday: Off

Saturday: Off (Optional Activities – Comp Time)

Total Hours: 41 (Plus)
