Open Calling: Full-time Pastor

Bethany Baptist Church (BBC) of Marceline, MO is currently seeking a full-time Pastor. We are a small church with a modest congregation, which is relative to our small town of about 2,200 people in North Central Missouri. We have strong ties and deep roots in our community and surrounding rural area which we care about deeply.

We follow the Southern Baptist Convention by way of the Missouri Baptist Convention and the Linn Livingston Baptist Association. Like all churches, and most importantly, we are seeking a man who knows God's word, teaches God's word, and lives by God's word. More specific to our congregation, we need a strong leader. Someone with the drive and desire to achieve God’s will with us. In our church as well as in our community. Seek out the lost and mentor the found. To encourage and rekindle the faith of the weary and astray. To educate and inspire our youth to seek out God's purpose for them in today's world. To strengthen and grow God's kingdom through our church.

Duties:

• Primary pastoral responsibility for the church
• Equip and manage church staff to best meet ministry needs
• Lead the vision of the church and develop church leaders
• Develop relationships with the congregation, new members, and community
• Provide counseling regarding spiritual and personal concerns
• Train people to be disciples and equip them for evangelism and service
• Work toward ministry goals with the leadership team and staff
