  1. To preach in services Sunday mornings.
  2. To lead Wednesday services or Bible Study.
  3. To conduct funerals and weddings.
  4. To visit the sick, shut-ins, members and prospective members and encourage members to take an active role in visitation.
  5. To supervise performance of church staff, including annual review.
  6. To work with staff, church leaders and workers to accomplish goals.
  7. To work with Ministry and Counsel to develop long range goals and objectives for continued church progress and growth.
  8. To maintain regular office hours.
  9. To provide brief ministry summary to Ministry and Counsel.
  10. To counsel members and others as needed.



  1. Must believe that the Bible is the inerrant, infallible and inspired Word of God.
  2. Must believe that Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin, co-equal with God the Father and the Holy Spirit, the only Mediator between God and man, and the only Savior.
  3. Must believe that Jesus is to be preeminent in the ministry, the Man, the Message, and the Music.
  4. Must believe that we are called to be spiritual, that we must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.


  1. Must be born again.
  2. Must testify of a definite experience of sanctification.
  3. Must have a definite call to the ministry.
  4. Must be a spiritual leader in the various ministries of the church.
  5. Must be known for integrity and holiness.
  6. Must display a commitment to Christ, the Bible, the Church, his family and fundamental Christian beliefs.
  7. Must be courageous, confident and evangelical in the delivery of the Word of God from the pulpit.
  8. Must show a genuine commitment and love for the spiritual growth of all ages.


  1. Must be an ordained minister.
  2. Must have a pastoral or seminary degree or equivalent.
  3. Should have pastoral experience or equivalent.
  4. Must set objectives to reach goals and priorities including sound stewardship, and church growth.
  5. Must exhibit tact, empathy, compassion and confidentiality in dealing with a variety of people and needs.
  6. Must guide and motivate members toward plans and goals.
  7. Must be able to communicate and work well with individuals and groups of all ages.
  8. Must be able to determine when to be decisive and when to be open to guidance from others.
  9. Must be able to accept constructive criticism.
  10. Must be known for personal integrity and honor commitments.
  11. Must exhibit skills and abilities required to be an effective administrator.
  12. Must have the support of his immediate family to his ministry.
