JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • The Pastor will provide spiritual oversight and leadership direction to the church leaders and the congregation.
  • The Pastor will preach and teach on Sunday mornings.
  • Our Pastor will be a compassionate and caring person who encourages people to relate their faith in their daily lives.
  • The Pastor will be a champion of our Church's mission and vision statement.
  • Our Pastor must be ordained and have comprehensive knowledge of the Bible.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be an effective preacher and speaker.
  • Be the primary preacher / teacher for our weekly Sunday morning worship service and holiday services.
  • Work effectively with the Church Council and is an ex-officio member of the Church Council and committees under the Church Council.
  • Develop and teach confirmation classes.
  • Make pastoral calls on people in hospitals and nursing homes as well as those confined to their homes.
  • Officiate at special services, such as confirmations, baptisms, weddings, and funerals.
  • Lead the congregation in Communion.
  • Minister effectively to people in crisis situations.
  • Work diligently to grow the Church, bringing in new members and reaching out to inactive members.
  • Is able to use modern technology.
