JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries will be responsible and lead junior high, high school, and young adult groups. The Director will provide the necessary environment so that these individuals will develop the skills necessary to succeed scholastically and interpersonally, as well as to grow boldly in their faith. The focus of this ministry will be on encouragement and spiritual growth, to love God and one another in Christian community, to grow as Christian disciples and equipping them to live their faith boldly in the world with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength. This position will report to the senior pastor and work collaboratively with deacons, personnel, administrative and ministry planning teams.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Qualifications
- A member of Berea Baptist Church.
- A strong calling to student, youth, and young adult ministries.
- Ability to relate exceptionally well to youth, parents, and younger adults.
- An understanding of and commitment to Berea Baptist Church and its mission.
- Weekly attendance at worship is expected.
- A Bachelor’s Degree and experience in a related field is preferred.
COMPENSATION:
55k Salary ($550 insurance stipend per month)
