The Church Business Administrator is responsible for the primary oversight of church finances, facilities, Information Technology, and security. The Administrator is very involved in the Human Resource functions of the church.


Continually evaluate areas of responsibility to ensure that they are accomplishing their purposes and are in line with the Vision Frame of New Vision Baptist Church. Assist in the development of new ministries, alteration of existing ones, and discontinuation of ineffective ones as needed. Ensure proper financial and administrative controls are in place and followed.


  • Provide oversight to church finances in accordance with church policies and GAAP.
  • Co-Lead monthly Finance Team meetings with chairman.
  • Generate finance reports.
  • Develop an annual operations budget in coordination with staff leadership.
  • Act as a church comptroller.
  • Develop, promote and manage on-going and special stewardship emphasis.
  • Review and approve all church contracts.
  • Serve as the church liaison to financial institutions.
  • Manage all church insurance policies, including health, liabilities, disability, and life policies.
  • Provide oversight to purchase and maintenance of office supplies and equipment.


  • Provide oversight to scheduling and maintenance of all church facilities and equipment.
  • Co-lead monthly Vision Team meetings with chairman.
  • Recommend, and upon approval, direct facility improvements.
  • Serve as church liaison to contractors/builder for all new building projects and repairs.
  • Manage church vehicles and equipment.
  • Information Technology
  • Ensure the church management system is accurate and functional, meeting the needs of the ministry.
  • Provide oversight to the Director of IT to ensure data security on all personal and proprietary information.


  • Provide leadership and oversight to the Safety Team Director.
  • Ensure the development of policies consistent with legal requirements and best practices and work with Safety Team Director to ensure those policies and practices are enforced.


  • Technical proficiency in financial management, preferably church and/or non-profit environments.
  • Ability to lead staff and volunteers and work with key church committees.
  • Maintains a high standard of excellence for the physical and functional aspects of multiple facilities.
  • Clear calling to this position and ministry.
  • A minimum of four-year degree from an accredited college/university. CPA is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills. Must be able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
