Reports to: The Lead Pastor

Purpose: Give oversight to the ministries, to include but are not limited to Sunday School and Wednesday nights, that would include Jr and Sr High Students as well as Preschool and Children age groups.

General Job Responsibilities of Next Gen Pastor:

  • Must be able to develop and cast a vision
  • Must be able to recruit, equip, and empower volunteers and establish ministry teams
  • Must be able to establish seamless bridges from age to age and to engage parents of children and students


Qualification and Education Requirements:

  • Active Membership at FBC Coldspring, TX
  • A history of demonstrating spiritual and emotional maturity to manage the pressures of church work with proper judgement and discretion
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or greater
  • Experience in Student Ministry
  • Ability to manage a changing workload with attention to detail and strong communication skills

  • Strong Administrative skills and be proficient in office technology and software
  • Give/receive feedback
  • Understands and respects authority
  • Expects to be held accountable for agreed upon results and values
  • Strong Team building skills and team oriented
  • Proficiency in understanding how to care for and communicate to students of all ages
