JOB DESCRIPTION:

United Baptist Church of Laredo Texas is accepting resumes for a full-time Senior Pastor position. UBC is a growing, contemporary church with a membership of about 300 worshipers. Attendance during the English worship service is around 250 and 50 during the Spanish worship service. UBC is seeking someone with experience in leading church staff of 3 full-time ministers and 2 part-time associate ministers. United Baptist Church of Laredo Texas is seeking to fill the position of Senior Pastor. UBC is a church that serves the Laredo community and surrounding areas. The applicant must be ordained, effective in planning and leading worship services, be of firm Christian faith and able to assist members in applying and developing their Christian faith. The candidate should possess stellar biblical qualifications and must be able to communicate and teach the Word of God in a clear and effective manner.


Experience:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited seminary or Bible college.
  • At least 5 years of experience working within a church in a ministerial role.
  • Ordination required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

  1. Three (3) years of prior service in the role of Senior or Associate Pastor.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to preach engaging sermons focused on principles and doctrine.
  3. Experience teaching Christian Education/discipleship classes to various age groups.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to serve the congregation with pastoral needs (i.e. visits to hospitals, shut-ins, counseling, weddings, funerals, memorial services).
  5. Demonstrate the ability to work well in a multi-cultural environment.
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  7. Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills and outgoing personality. (might seem redundant to put that phrase separately)
  8. Effective leadership skills for supervision of staff and Associate Pastors.
  9. A strong and unwavering commitment to the mission of the Church.
  10. Missions experienced
  11. Familiarity with technology such as MSOffice, PowerPoint or other worship display software, and social media.
  12. Spanish speaking is a plus
  13. Music Ministry background is a plus

JOB STATUS:

Full-Time

COMPENSATION:

$70,000 - $80,000
