Principle Function

Prepare children to become wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ, and support and equip parents to carry out their God-given responsibility to disciple their child(ren).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide vision and direction for all areas of children’s ministry
• Develop and implement Sunday morning, midweek, and summer ministry programs for children and families
• Identify, recruit, train, and equip servants for the Children’s Ministry
• Provide oversight to Children’s Ministry Interns
• Develop and carry out events that introduce children and families in our community to Jesus
• Work alongside the Next Gen team and inside the discipleship process of the church to select a curriculum for each age level that will help children grow in their understanding of Jesus and move them toward becoming wholehearted followers of Christ
• Communicate and help parents to see the biblical responsibility that parents have to be the primary disciple-maker of their child and take steps to help them embrace it
• Plan, prepare, and oversee the Children’s Ministry budget
