JOB DESCRIPTION:
Minister of Music and Worship, First Southern Baptist Church, Clarksville, IN
First Southern Baptist Church of Clarksville Indiana, a mature congregation with hope and promise of stepping into our next phase of life in and ministry to a new generation, is seeking a part-time Minister of Music and Worship. This is someone who can serve the Lord by helping lead and equip the church to worship God with vitality in spirit and truth.
Responsibilities include leading congregational singing at all worship services and other church functions; identifying and developing music and worship gifts and talents in the church family; developing any choirs, ensembles, soloists, etc. as led; using the music and worship functions of the church to grow disciples in Christ; nurturing the spirit of worship in the church; serving as a “minister-at-large” to the congregation; seizing additional ministry opportunities as they arise.
This part-time assignment has some flexibility, and facets of it are negotiable.
The part-time Minister of Music and Worship serves under the oversight and direction of the senior pastor. He is expected to be a team player, working in harmony and fellowship with the other church leadership and teams of the church.
Plan for a time commitment of approximately 20 hrs. per week. The salary is negotiable.
