JOB DESCRIPTION:
Chattahoochee Christian Church, established in 1860, is seeking a Pastor. We are a small church in the beautiful north Georgia mountains, located in the town of Helen. We have about thirty active members. We're an older population, most are in their seventies, but we don't let age interfere with the work of the Lord. We used to be affiliated with the United Methodist Church, but became independent about five years ago. We still hold to Weslyan values and traditions. We have a conservative Biblical worldview and our statement of faith aligns with the Apostles Creed. We would expect our Pastor to engage in the usual pastoral duties including prepare and lead a weekly Sunday morning worship service at 11:00, lead a weekly Bible study, and we would want him to be willing to call and/or visit congregants who are ill. The yearly salary Chattahoochee Christian Church could offer is in the low to mid 20k.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Our Pastor should be a Godly man who has a strong sense of calling to minister. He should have thorough Scriptual knowlege, strong communication and leadership skills, and be a man of integrity and strong moral character. Since most of our church members are senior citizens, compassion and empathy are essential as well as being comfortable dealing with the special challenges of an older population.
