JOB DESCRIPTION:

🌟 Director of Children’s Ministries (Part-Time)

Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church (PLMBC) is seeking a Director of Children’s Ministries to lead our efforts in discipling children (ages 5 through 5th grade) in the Word, Worship, Works, Witness, and Walk of Christ. This role blends gospel conviction with creativity, ensuring every child is welcomed, taught, and loved in ways that reflect the heart of Jesus and our mission: Serving God, Serving Others.

✨ Key Responsibilities

• Word: Teach Scripture with clarity and warmth; develop age-appropriate Bible lessons; equip volunteers to handle the Word faithfully.

• Worship: Create worship experiences that invite children to praise God; encourage worship practices at home and in class; celebrate spiritual milestones.

• Works: Organize service projects and ministry opportunities; partner with Youth Director(s) for joint events; teach obedience, kindness, and generosity.

• Witness: Help children understand and share the gospel; encourage testimonies, scripture memorization, and visible expressions of faith.

• Walk: Foster rhythms of prayer, Scripture, and fellowship; model humility and joy; provide guidance for children and families in spiritual formation.

👥 Leadership & Communication

• Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteers who reflect PLMBC values.

• Communicate proactively with parents and caregivers to build trust.

• Use digital tools (texts, slides, email, social media) for updates and resources.

• Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and Family Ministry Team to align children’s ministry with church-wide goals.

📋 Qualifications

• Clear testimony of salvation and calling to children’s ministry.

• Agreement with PLMBC doctrinal convictions.

• Experience teaching, leading, or organizing children’s ministry preferred.

• High School diploma or GED required.

• Strong communication skills, creativity, flexibility, and collaborative spirit.

• Competence with MS Office, Google tools, and digital communication platforms.

• Current First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Background check required.

⏰ Hours & Compensation

• Status: Part-time (15–25 hours/week).

• Schedule: Sundays, midweek programming, seasonal events; some evenings/weekends as needed.

• Reports to: Lead Pastor.

• Compensation: Based on experience; reviewed after 6–12 months with potential for full-time conversion.

💪 Physical & Practical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and actively lead children’s activities.

• Ability to drive church vehicles (valid NCDL required).

• Maintain professional, modest attire appropriate for ministry.
