JOB DESCRIPTION:
Worship & Outreach Pastor
Job Description Hours: Full-Time (Approximately 40 hours per week)
Qualifications
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be dedicated to promoting the mission and goals of POCC
- Be a member in good standing
- Possess a positive attitude, a quick smile, and strong interpersonal skills
- Be a self-starter, skilled at multitasking and prioritizing projects
- Have 1–2 years of experience leading worship
- Demonstrate strong team-building capacity
- Have strong musical skills and the ability to confidently lead instrumentally and/or vocally
- Show a desire to help the congregation, surrounding community, and the unchurched encounter and grow in Christ
- Have an educational background in Christian Ministries, Biblical Studies, or a related field, and be either Licensed or Ordained in the Christian Church
Purpose of Position
- Responsible for leading POCC Worship Services
- Help provide vision and passion for the larger worship life of POCC alongside the church staff and Elders
- Responsible for organizing, promoting, and leading Outreach events
Responsible To
The Worship & Outreach Pastor is responsible to the Elders of POCC, working directly under the supervision of the Lead Pastor and Operations Manager. The position will be evaluated annually. This is a full-time position with regular office hours Monday–Thursday as established by the Elders of POCC. Any business or teaching responsibilities outside those of POCC must have prior approval from the Elders of POCC.
Job Duties (Include, But Are Not Limited To)
- Primary Musical Worship Leader: Serve as the lead worship leader for most Worship Services and special services, while regularly identifying, encouraging, and mentoring new leaders within the team
- Team Builder: Lead weekly and ongoing worship practices and related events; recruit, manage, and train volunteers in Worship and Outreach ministries
- Skilled Musician: Ideally proficient instrumentally and vocally to lead the team; if not an instrumentalist, must be knowledgeable in instrumental musical language and able to communicate effectively
- Provide oversight of all church equipment, instruments, and maintenance needs
- Care & Leadership for A/V/Media Team: Coordinate and communicate regularly with the A/V/Media Director and team
- Coordinate musical worship needs with the Next Gen Pastor
- Oversee Music-Related Licensing: Maintain and track all music-related licenses, fees, and memberships
- Coordinate with the Lead Pastor, Operations Manager, and Worship Team in planning weekly Worship Flow
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- General Administrative Duties: Scheduling volunteers, charting music, and related tasks
- Create and effectively manage Worship and Outreach Ministry budgets
- Lead and help coordinate outreach plans that mobilize the congregation to serve the community in meaningful ways, reflecting the vision of Port Orange Christian Church
- Collaborate with church leaders to oversee all local outreach and evangelism ministries
- Work with the First Impressions Team to ensure a welcoming and positive guest experience
- Stay current on best practices in church outreach
- Perform other duties as assigned

COMPENSATION:
$42,000 plus $3,000 benefit package
