JOB DESCRIPTION:
Grace Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a full-time Senior Paster - a faithful Spirit-led man called by God to lead our congregation in worship, discipleship, and outreach. Rooted in prayer, biblical truth, and committed to the Great Commision, we are a Southern Baptist church affiliated locally with Northwest Arkansas Baptist Association, seeking a pastor who will preach the Word of God, shepherd our members, and guide us to grow in Christ and engage our community with the Gospel.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Preach and teach biblically sound sermons and lead Bible studies to encourage spiritual maturity
- Provide pastoral care, including counseling, visitation, and support for individuals and families
- Cast a clear vision in alignment with Southern Baptist values to fulfill the Great Commission
- Oversee chruch operations, staff, and ministry teams in collaboration with deacons and leadership
- Lead worship services in coordination with the worship team
- Represent the chruch with integrity in the local community and build relationships for outreach
- Develop discipleship programs that equip and mobilize members for ministry and missions
- Encourage and lead both local and global evangelism and mission efforts
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
- Devoted to prayer, seeking the Lord's guidance in all aspects of ministry
- A personal testimony of salvation and a consistent walk with Christ
- Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) and commitment to biblical inerrancy
- Minimum of 5 year of pastoral leadership, preferably 10 years within a Southern Baptist affiliation
- Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or similar degree from an accredited Southern Baptist or evangelical seminary preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Meets the biblical qualifications outline in 1 Timothy 3 an Titus 1
- Strong leadership, preaching, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- A heart for missions, discipleship, and equipping others for service
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in church growth or revitalization
- Technological proficiency (e.g. livestreaming, church communications, social media)
- Ability to mentor leaders and foster multigenerational engagement
COMPENSATION:
Competitive salary range: $57,000-$72,000, based on experience and education. Parsonage provided if needed, in accordance with church policy. Benefits may include health insurance allowance.
