Country Bible Church’s pastor must meet all biblical qualifications of an elder and have a clear sense of God’s call to pastoral ministry. We seek a pastor who uses primarily exposition, along with occasional topical styles of preaching, applying the Word of God to our lives. To be successful, we believe our pastor must be able to clearly communicate a biblical vision for the church and inspire people to pursue it. We seek an effective leader committed to equipping the saints to do the work of the ministry and sending them out with appropriate accountability.

We desire a pastor who will lead in cooperation with the deacons and, preferably, has prior pastoral experience. We seek an individual passionate about discipling all ages within our church, reaching out to our local community and furthering worldwide missions.

The purpose of Country Bible Church is the edification of Christians through the teaching the Word of God and the worldwide proclamation of the Gospel. The Gospel is God’s saving grace expressed in the shed blood and finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. Our desire is to promote Godly worship and defend the Christian faith. Our Christian ministries and activities function in harmony with God’s Holy Word, the Bible, to strengthen our church until Christ comes again.

Country Bible Church is a rural church located in west central Michigan. The church facility, featuring a distinctive geodesic dome as the main sanctuary, is set at the corner of Baldwin Ave and 24th Street with a Fremont address. It is approximately six miles northeast of Fremont, fifty miles northwest of Grand Rapids and twenty-five miles northeast of Muskegon. The church includes families who are a part of at least four rural communities in the Newaygo County area, the largest being Fremont with a population of approximately five thousand people. The church was formed in 1977 and has grown spiritually ever since.

Qualifications:

* Meets the scriptural qualifications for an elder

* Trained for the ministry at a recognized fundamental college and/or seminary

* Some Senior Pastor experience is preferred

* Is an Independent Fundamental Churches of America (IFCA) member, or is willing to become one
